Group Supervision Sessions

Supervision Sessions - Reminder for SE trainees

SEP’s must have completed 18 hours of supervision sessions (this rises to 20 for 2024 cohort)

Supervision must be received from an approved provider in person or online.  They may include a mix of individual and group sessions.

6 hours (minimum) must be with a Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute faculty member in either the group or individual supervision format. SE trainers are faculty members. SOSI aims to organise at least 5 Faculty Group Supervision sessions during the course of the three-year training. Generally these are held the day before the start of a training module.

4 hours (minimum) of supervision must be Individual supervision sessions - not group sessions. This will ensure that the supervision requirements will be met with a participant personally presenting at least 4 cases.

Individual supervision sessions will be offered during the training by those assistants who are approved to do so.

Individual Supervisions:
For individual supervision sessions, 1 supervision hour equals 1 credit hour.

Group Supervisions:
For group supervisions of 3 or more people, 3 supervision hours equals 1 credit hour for each participant.
